Spoke to Soon Page Rank now 3

The Financial Blog took a hit over the weekend and is now at Page Rank 3, oh well, so much for gloating a few weeks back. Hopefully I can hold my lofty ranking of 3 (although this page is ranked 2/10?).
Got a call from the real press about my blog, should be interesting to see [...]

Learning by Talking

I am a very audio learner, but strangely, I learn the most when I am the one talking? Please ask me to explain it, because when I am forced to talk about something, I end up learning more about what I don’t know, and usually learn more about what I do know as well.
A good [...]

Page Rank Woes

Nope, my PR seems to be holding steady at Canadian Finanancial Rants (I was a 5 for a little while, then dropped to a 4 about 6 months ago and still seem to be there for now). Lots of theories as to why Page Ranks are falling for major sites.
Some Theories:

AdBrite Sent Packing

Figured I’d try a new advertising group on the Financial Web Site so I added Adbrite last week. First it seemed ok, although I never got any “financial” advertising, just dating services (strange, but ok). This morning I noted that it was doing it’s own version of keyword advertising and one of them was to [...]

Need to Set Up A Calendar

I keep forgetting when the inflation numbers are coming in, and when the interest rates announcements are going to be. These are typically at least 2 of my posts out of every month, and I comment on them, but they keep catching me unawares (like today), where I write an entry and then realize I [...]

Sign by Dealighted – Coupons & Discount Shopping

But how to use it, and where to use it? Interesting they are using the WHATIS info from your IP address and doing guesses as to where you are from, which is cool, but how do [...]

Good story, guess i need more readers

Figured Walter’s Turkey story was a sure fire winner, but I guess there just isn’t a market for psychotic, pseudo farmers who don’t know how to kill poultry. It was an idea.
The traffic on this site continues to be a little flat, but then again, it is not like I am posting a great deal [...]

Alexa Ranking Increases

I am never sure whether my Alexa rating actually translates into anything of value these days, but it has risen from 1,400,000 to now being around 648,000, meteoric, however still a very long way until I am up in the “noticeable” part of their spectrum.
My RSS feed numbers on Canadian Financial Opinions have flattened at [...]
