Advertising is where the money is

As you can tell I do monetize my sites a great deal, however, I have no direct advertising income (as in, nobody sends me the money directly), I get some money from Text Link Ads and some from Adsense but that is about it. Last year, I did have some direct advertising, and it actually doubled my income for the year.

I have decided to go after direct advertising income for both of my sites, and I will no longer worry about whether the advertiser is worthy of my site (I will have some limitations). I read over John Chow’s Advertise page and that is the model I will be going with on how to tell folks they can advertise directly with me, but will be charging significantly less than John does currently (hopefully one day I can charge his rates as well).
