Yes, I took the plunge and installed WordPress 2.7 on the site to test it out before I put it up on the financial site. I like the new dashboard look, it seems quite slick and easy to use. I am using the Quickpress capability to make this posting, which is useful too.

Getting some feedback from a few different sources about my marketing statements, but I still see no income as of yet, and stand by my statements.

That seems to be kind of where I am right now, not really too sure what to write about, and things at work are starting to heat up, so it will get harder to write things, but I think I will try to keep going, just to see if my hard work might pay off with a little more money.

Google has been wandering my site still, I am making sure I keep my eye on that, just to make sure I don’t get lost again, and have possible readers not know I am here! What is more interesting is that I didn’t have any HTTP errors when the site was crawled last, which is a first for me, usually there is no end of unreachable links, so that is good. Whether Yahoo ever comes on line again, I really don’t know, their whole system seems completely aimed towards folks who want to pay to advertise to be in their searches.

Some feedback on my Canadian Financial Rants site format, but I suspect I am going to have to do a complete revamp on that.

I now own the domain canajunfinances.ca which I purchased this past week. This is a start towards moving away from blogspot, but I need some time to get set up!

This heartens me, more and more references from Google and still a very good 400 hits yesterday, so things are humming along nicely, just need to keep stoking the furnace a bit more to get over the hump to 1000 hits in one day (never had that happen yet).

Careful about naming links now as well, to make sure better link numbers as well

web site listing on Technorati. Why is this so important to a blogger?
Well Technorati, like Alexa, Google and Yahoo are conduits for new
readers to come and find your site. It is like a band that is not listed
on “America’s Top 40″, if you are not on the list, you won’t get new
readers from those sources. Technorati’s rating is also used by
advertisers and other sites to figure out what the relative value of
your site is (and whether it is worthwhile advertising on that site). If
you haven’t claimed your site on Technorati, go do that now! Now!!!
Unless you don’t care if anyone reads your stuff, then don’t worry about it.

Another really important thing is if you are trying to build up
readership by writing interesting articles, you can’t take breaks. I
have seen countless web sites that have started off well, but then have
just died off. One of my favorites was a music discussion web site, that
seems to have disappeared. Write every day, multiple times if the spirit
hits you, but write every day while you are trying to build up
readership. Make people want to come back to your site, or subscribe to
your RSS feed to read what you are saying now.
