This is a very old post, but it’s still interesting to see that so long ago, I still envied other writers’ success.
A site that started about the same time as I did a few years back is the Canadian Capitalist (a site that is my #1 referral as well (other than search sites)), and I had blogger envy of his success. More than once now, he has been mentioned in the Toronto Star, and his statistics are at levels that I am almost green to look at:

- I have about 80 RSS readers, he has almost 900
- He refers almost 100 readers to ME every week, and I don’t even advertise on his site, so his traffic levels must be at the 1000’s of readers per day.
- His Feedburner feed is monetized as well
I have learned that blogger envy is not a good emotion or feeling, so I am proud of my fellow Canadian blogger’s success, and hope that soon I will have his level of success as well. Instead of envy, I think the feeling to have is, “I have an example of what success is, and I think I can do that too”.
