Video is Fun So Far

I am starting to get the hang of this whole video thing, but now I need to actually think about what I am trying to capture with my phone/camera. Currently my personal blog is filled with short clips of my son doing various odd things, which makes me much like the parent who invites friends [...]

The Power and Ease of Video

So adding video to your blog is pretty simple, if you are using Blogspot, since YouTube and it are hooked together (in ownership by Google too).
I always worried that I was using non-authorized content, but creating your own is dead simple if you have the right tools.
This astounding piece of cinematography was done using a [...]

Nothing New Paris Hilton

What an egregious title that is, no, I am not posting crap about Paris Hilton, but I figured I’d mention her just in case it might help (I am going to blog hell for that one, I can guess).
Haven’t heard BOO back from any carnivals, but my readership stays steady these days, with Kontera kind [...]

Back to the Carnivals

I am taking another concerted shot at the Carnivals to see if I can pull in more readership and more interest in the Canadian Financial Rants blog. I’ll aim for some off the beaten path Carnivals as well, but for now I’ll concentrate more on the Financial side of things as well. Seem to be [...]

Hits of the Year

Yesterday was my biggest day on Adsense for clicks through (can’t comment on relative income), yet I am not clear as to WHY that might be the case. Lu Lu Lemon does seem to be a big search request that is filtering through my site, due to it’s impending IPO and the lack of information [...]

No Maids Today

That posting was blatant readership increasing material. I think that site is hilarious, because actually the information they are passing on is quite interesting, but adding busty young ladies in French Maid outfits and introducing as many “interesting angles” for shots is priceless. I am impressed as hell by that site.
Good ways to get more [...]

French Maids?

So why did I have to learn this site from Askaninja.com ? Don’t my friends know my likes and dislikes?
Better still, why didn’t I think of this? Each of these videos has been viewed over a million times. That might help my readership a little.
The topic for today, how to use iLike to share music [...]

Salary? Ha, ha, ha…

Someone asked me to post what my “salary” was for blogging. Salary has implications of regular money that I can rely on, and that justifies the amount of work that I did, so salary is not what I would call what I make on the blogs, that is for sure. One day maybe, but not [...]

War on SPAM Commenting

So more and more I am getting SPAM comments being sent to my blogs, which is really annoying. What is funny is that the Wordpress version of my financial blog, which really only got created as a mid-step for backing up my entire Blogspot account, is getting more and more of these SPAM comments from [...]
