Holy Cow RSS Readers
So my Adsense data has been showing a declining readership directly, but an exploding RSS readership, but this seems a little fishy to me.

New Advertisers and 2.7.1
Wordpress 2.7.1 is installed on both sites now although the automatic upgrade in Wordpress seems to have failed. I used Dreamhost’s 1 click upgrade instead, which seems to have worked no problem (which is a nice change too). The 1 click upgrade may be the way to go in the future, we shall see.
Advertising seems [...]
December 2008 Income
An update on my attempt to carve out a meager income with my blogging so here is an update for December from Canadian Personal Finance Opinions :
Adsense income $51.54 with about 5000 impressions
Kontera income $7.84 on 4400 page impressions
Text Link Ads income $38.09 earn with 5 ads running out of a possible 8 (text link [...]
Dead RSS Feeds
More strangeness with the Financial Site with my RSS feed from feedburner dieing off. It is not just feedburner but the feed check utility also times out on my server, so I have sent yet another support request to my friends at Dreamhost. Meanwhile my Feedburner subscriber count drops like a stone thanks to my [...]
RSS Moved to Google
So for both sites the RSS Feeds have now both been moved, and I will be deleting the interim feed set up for this site.
Working Hard on The Internet RSS Feed is now on this link. Canadian Personal Finance Opinions RSS feed is over here.
Feedburner is now gone, but still here and my readership drops [...]
Adsense for RSS, Couldn’t Wait
So I ended up going and setting up a NEW feed for this site which you can link to Working Hard on the Internet or via the subscribe RSS button on the right hand margin. I have redirected Feedburner to use this as it’s feed, but it will now be interesting to see what happens [...]
Feeds and Wordpress 2.6
New Wordpress Load
Wordpress 2.6 is now available and hopefully by the time you read this post, I will have upgraded both of my sites to use Wordpress 2.6.
What is new? Why not watch this helpful video:
I am a visual learner so this is great, and helpful to me as well.
RSS Feed Advertising
I have been using [...]
Alexa Ranking Increases
I am never sure whether my Alexa rating actually translates into anything of value these days, but it has risen from 1,400,000 to now being around 648,000, meteoric, however still a very long way until I am up in the “noticeable” part of their spectrum.
My RSS feed numbers on Canadian Financial Opinions have flattened at [...]
Now 500 RSS?!?
So I really am baffled as to why I have crossed the 500 RSS reader world, but I am pleasantly surprised that is for sure.
I even found out that folks are actually envious of my RSS feeds, which is quite funny, since I have no idea why I have this many readers these days. [...]
Almost 200 and Counting?
The numbers keep coming, which is interesting, since I really have no idea as to why I have such a surge in RSS readers, but let’s just keep hoping and praying for a breakthrough again.
Was contacted by someone in the legitimate media asking for some information, which also made my day, since it seems I [...]
