Back in the dark days of Adsense, when I didn’t know how the game was played, I got a few warnings, and a suspension.
So my guess is the reactivation of my Blogsoldiers account has caused a bit of a burp in the world of Google, so I received a warning that I should not be using such sites, as is mentioned in my terms of use from Google. Interesting, well I am glad it was a warning, not just a shutdown message, so I’ll have to mind my P’s and Q’s with that kind of traffic generation.
As I mentioned in my posting: Blogsoldiers, BlogCatalog and others, I think this kind of traffic generation is at best esoteric, and you will not get many new readers from it (maybe retention of 0.01%). I make so little money. I wonder why Adsense even cares. If they don’t police this closely it could get out of control quickly. Be careful with your Google Adsense account.
Safe Adsense Usage
I am attempting to get back into more Carnivals, these seem to bring more real readers over to your site, but the publishing dates for many of those are erratic as well. Hosting one of these may be the next logical step too.
Addendum: You can get more “grey” and “Black Hat” techniques at Black Hat SEO site. They do show some interesting ways on how to make money with google adsense.
I had a call from a reader yesterday who had read my posting about Aeroplan and had questions. It was weird, so I suspect it was not just a call about that posting, and I await to see what the “upshot” is from that conversation.
